Two weeks ago, among a Kurdish/Turkish Spring attempt, and constant bombings, something (another) terrible happened in Turkey. In a small city named Karaman, which is a conservative city, an Islamic foundation named as Ensar Foundation (a foundation which is dedicated to instill Islamic values via education, also which has significant connections with Erdogan family and the ruling party of Turkey, the Justice and Progress Party.), a teacher has raped 45 boys. The boys are primary school students and their ages change between 9-10.
But that was just the beginning. According to the prosecutor, the accused one had raped a lot of children since 2014. The worse thing is according to the foundation and Turkish Ministry of Education, he is a very successful class teacher and well-known conservative figure at the city of Karaman. Also, this is not the first time that Ensar Foundation is accused with rape incidents.
Things got even worser. The government (Ministry of Justice) had acted like there is something to protect, and issued a gag order. After that, the Ensar Foundation begun to vehemently reject the rape incident. As if this weren’t enough, the Ministry of Justice had attempted to relieve the prosecutor from his duties, but stepped back because of reactions from public.
What are you trying to hide away?
According to Turkish Legal Medicine Association, 10 of these poor children has symptoms of rape, but we don’t know about the other poor children, because of the gag order. Also, some family members said that the government had not allowed the other children to be examined, if this accusation is true, there is a very serious problem.
Also, there is a massive backlash from the pro-government side. A representative from the Justice and Progress Party claimed that there were no rapes, one day later another one admitted the rape, but according to him, perpetrators were leftists. At the same time, government affiliated social media accounts claim that rapist teacher is a member of the Gulenist movement.
Choose now ladies and gentlemen; did it happened, or not? And who did this? Leftists, Gulenists, or both?
After that, the State actively tries to prevent the flow of information. Another Justice and Progress Party representative declared that he is sided with Ensar Foundation even if they raped all children at their foundation. Another one decried that even if the foundation re-admits the incident he still would not believe it.
It is not over yet. Sena Ramazanoglu, the Minister of Family and Social Policy, had actively defended the Ensar Foundation. She said:
They (i.e. the opposition) try to interrelate this incident with a foundation which they make us proud with their work. This incident, no matter it is tragic, can not be a reason for denigration of our foundation.
Mrs. Minister, What are you try to hide? We know that Ensar Foundation has accomplished some important things at Turkish education, and it is a deep-rooted foundation, nevertheless there is an admitted rape case, and the rapist was arrested.
But the problem is (y)our government try to cover up something extremely terrible.
Is there a group of rapists lurking behind the doors?
Are hundreds of children has been abused?
Why you issued a gag order?
Why you tried to relieve prosecutor from his duties?
Why you rejected a notice of motion about the investigation of this tragic incident with your votes at the Turkish assembly?
Then why you suddenly, but hesitantly accepted the opposition’s offer to create a commission for investigation?
Why you pressured against the victims’ families to step back in return of 10.000 Turkish Liras (about 3.500 US Dollars)?
Why governor of Karaman and director of education of Karaman stated that they could not talk no matter it becomes worse?
Your followers would attack us with that we should not expose our fellow’s Muslims’ sins. As a Muslim, I have not to expose my fellow Muslim brothers’ and sisters’ (even non-Muslims if necessary) sins. But, I can not hide the truth, I can not cover up.
Nonetheless, okay, I will not ask these questions. I shall only ask one question only:
WHAT WILL YOU TELL THESE POOR CHILDREN AT THE AFTERLIFE WHEN THEY CALLED YOU AS RESPONSIBLE?

I have seen you criticised the Gulenists, but from a glance at their Wikipedia page, they seem to be a largely peaceful group of people. Can you please explain the reason why you do so?

Perhaps I don’t elaborate my question well enough, so I will rephrase it again. What makes you think Gulenists are bad guys? Aren’t they just Muslims who want promote peace in general society, and do not even have any connection to any group
of extremists?

First of all, I am sorry for late response, I was quite busy to write a reply to you.
To be honest, Gulenists are quite peaceful, one of the most peaceful Islamic organizations at Turkey. Also, they were being accused with pacifism and reformism by the other Islamic groups. And they have thousands of sincere, honest and hardworking people, who works at tens of different countries around the world.
On the other hand,
1. Some (I am trying to not exaggerate) Gulenists were idolized their leader, Fethullah Gülen, who is a charismatic preacher). To idolize someone or something is simply wrong in Islam.
2. They should not claim that they are fully innocent. Ask to an ordinary Gulenist, and they’ll tell you that they are purer than snow and whiter than milk. They are collaborated with both Secularists and Erdoganists. One really must ask them, how did they able to survive and thrive at February 1997, when the Turkish military declared that they would not allow the Islamist-centre right coalition government to run and they even took the chance of civil war like Algeria? How did they thrive when all Islamist groups were crushed?
3. They had collaborated with Erdogan until late 2013, when they tried to arrest 4 ministers with corruption. Until that, they were besties. Any wrong act of Erdogan were supported by Gulenists. Again, one should ask them, where were they been, when innocent army officers were tried at a courthouse which judges knew the evidences were forged? Where were they been, when their members turned a just and necessary case (Ergenekon trials) into a disgrace full of lies and traducing against virgin women?
Well, what do I think about the Gulenists who made these wrongs (I exclude the innocent ones):

I have two other questions:
1/ What are the real meaning of the two Islamic concepts of Dar al-Islam and Dar-al Harb? By real meaning, I mean something that is not to be interpreted as the idea that Muslim must wage perpetual war against unbelievers. I know for a fact that Jihad, properly interpreted, is meant to be a personal, internal struggle for faith, and not an external one, a war on the world (i.e. what the ‘jihadists’ like to claim). Does something similar exist for Dar al-Islam and Dar-al Harb:?
2/ What are your thoughts about the Pan Turkish/Turanist movement? Also, is this movement an Islamic one? I am a bit confused, because sometimes the Turanists seem to affirm that all Turkish people should unite due to a common ancestor, and not due to religion.

Dar al-Islam literally means house of Islam. Any place which has security and peace for Muslims (and the People of the Book, which are Christians, Jews and Sabians, also Zoroastrians, Buddhists, and Hindus for some Islamic jurists) according to Islamic law, any place which is ruled by Muslim government, and any place which has common frontiers with Muslim nations is Dar al-Islam.
Dar al-harb literally means the house of war. Any place which is not ruled by Muslims, which persecutes Muslims, and has not any truces with Muslims is considered as Dar al-Harb.
Ask an ISIS member, and he would claim that all lands except so-called Islamic state are dar-al harb, even the other Muslim states!
For many Muslims, the word of jihad (literally means struggling, striving) has two distinctions, one of them is inner spiritual struggle (the Greater Jihad) and the physical struggles against the enemies of Islam, can be violent or non-violent (the Lesser Jihad).
2. Despite many of them are secular, and some of them are Turkish neopaganists who imitates the European neopaganists, the vast majority of Pan-Turkists are Muslim, which is consistent with the fact that almost 95 percent of Turkic peoples are -at least nominally- Muslim. But, Turkic peoples at Central Asia and Russia lived 20th century under the communism, therefore many of them are openly non-practicing Muslims or worse.

And based on what criteria would someone be considered ‘an enemy of Islam’?

Most common definition: Any people, organization, group, ideology, state etc. which actively persecutes Muslims and prevents Muslim worshipping is considered enemy of Islam.
But throughout the history of Islam, many groups, people etc. accused the other as enemy of Islam. Also I know that the above definition can be used against many Muslims.
